Who killed the electric car (on now)

interesting watch, it’s on the Green channel on TWC, ch 103.

Such a garbage documentary.

:picard:

watching it now…

What a garbage documentary. Last 5 minutes were dedicated to “why hydrogen cars don’t work” I guess I’ll start calling the top gear cast mythbusters. They had more (and more accurate) information on their episode with the clarity and tesla.

Definitely stupid. One of those documentaries that your eleventh grade psycho teacher thought was amazing and revolutionary.

I watched it and it was better than I expected.
Less one sided than people told me it was but the blame on other OEM could have been spread even further.

Development fleets are still something GM does. Like the 100 Hydrogen Equinoxes it has out now. At the end of the “lease” they will collect them, test the compnents for wear and tear and probably destroy them.

still has a lot of history documented, like the C.A.R.B. meetings on video, that’s the kind of thing i found interesting. they pointed the finger at everyone, consumers, manufacturers, the government ect. it wasn’t one sided b/c everyone was to blame.

one of my biggest issues with it was with their accusations that consumers were to blame.

Consumers are never to blame. Ever.

Funny when GM does it; people picket. When Honda does it; people line up and applaud their green efforts.

Now we learn that Honda may be headed for a General Motors EV1/Who Killed the Electric Car? scenario because the company is only offering the all-electric Fit for lease and will take the cars back once the leases expire.

Well, if they banned Guns in Japan you know what the Japanese would do? Not buy guns.

Part of being an American is thinking, not knowing, every one else is trying to take something away from you. Like when you take away a cookie from a spoiled kid. They kick and scream until they get their cookie back. I’m not saying it is justified, but if the kid is fat they should know better…right? Or, blame the parents.

Oh the ironing…can’t wait to see whats coming!

Blame the Parents. 80% of the time, every time. It’s easy to cave and give in to kids demands. That way, they don’t interrupt your MTV reality show addiction.

I vaguely remember that documentary. It was an OK watch for the tech aspect and the EV is probably responsible for the hybrids we have today.
It was not nearly as bad as the shitty methane in my well water documentary.

I found it really interesting.

HA!!!

What’s going on? My electric car thingy went off.

Batteries have failed the electric car multiple times.
