dang dude, you are good at sewing lol. Im rusty right now. I need to get some upholstery projects to get good again. none of the girls in home ec could touch my mad sewing skills. when I finished my projects in half the time, i had to help my dufus buddies out lol.
i have an old singer machine. oldie but goodie.

yea w/o a good machine, even an expert would havea hard time.
My moms old machine was OK…but it keep jaming and eating my suede.
so
I went to good’ol walmart and got one for $195 after tax…machine is PIMP!
god i’ll regret asking, but how much does a decent machine go for? anything in the $100 range? I might consider picking one up to start screwing around.
Where did you source your leather and suede from? Im looking at doing a project sorta like this and Im just haveing a hard time finding good fabric locally (NC).
So i decided to give this a try. Cutting out the spots for the buttons to fit was the biggest pain.
Gulf Fabrics in Florida, and another place in NYC are the only Stateside supplier of actual “Alcantara” Brand Alcantara. fyi.

Heh, I love Alcantara, even started a joke group, Suede Headliners United while on AKA this year with a few other Alcantara headliner people. Honestly every german sports car I own will either come with one, or get one done. Most of my steering wheels have it as well. Got the dash in the pcar done in it.
maybe i should cover my pillars and headliner too. kinda weird having everything black and those are beige.
