Wow I guess you can really afford to have someone do the work.
That’s a lot of $ though. You did say $800 and now $300?
I did it myself for two reasons: I’m cheap (I’m brown, it’s how it is) and
because I wanted the experience.
But it’s understandable some people can’t afford to do it themselves. But
if you are really into cars, it doesn’t hurt to just dive in and try it yourself.
In all honesty, I’d have done the work myself had he not already thrown it up on a lift, taken the tranny out, and sent the flywheel out to be machined.
I wish I had’ve just towed it to my house, but my dad’s first thought was take it to the mechanic. meh…so now I gotta pay out the ass.
Thanks for the offer sasha, but i’m gonna order a clutch through andrew (Spec Stage 2!).
As for the credit card business. I refuse to own a credit card for as long as I possibly can (which is possibly indefinately). Kinda like greg’s hiding theory, but a little bit weirder. Which I won’t get into for the sake of sounding…weird.
I’m the same way about credit cards, but it’s because I don’t trust myself to be responsible with money and will drown myself in debt and die a homeless man on the streets of downtown Toronto.
