Find me a statistical breakdown of whom uses what percentage of the services that tax dollars pay for.
:mamoru: Exactly. We all can’t be Michael Jackson’s umbrella man.
Or an unlicensed, divorced plumber.
By “next depression” you mean the one following the one we’re currently in :meh:
OOOFFF
I know a few people who make upwards of $5mil a year.
I’ll bet you $1 mill on who they are going to vote for.
I really don’t care about other people, especially other poor people.
Hmm I would save more if McCain were in office…
:picard:
- Poor people spend over 100% of their income on average. That’s all money that goes back into the economy.
- Rich people didn’t get that way by themselves. They climbed up the backs of all the normal people around them to get where they are.
- The super rich don’t pay taxes on most of their money because they have other rich people to find ways around taxes.
- Poor people that spend >100% of their income are a burden on rich people more than themselves. If Joe Shmoe defaults on a loan or goes bankrupt he hurts banks, dealerships, stores, and anywhere he would have spent his money. Who owns these fore stated establishments? Not joe, but those rich people who stuff their money into wall street.
The rich wouldn’t be rich if it weren’t for the spending power of the middle class. Its in the riches best interest to keep the middle class from tightening their wallet.
Obama never said his tax policy was geared for the poor, its gear for the middle class.

well, either nyspeed is full of money, or full of shit.
We’re not in a depression right now. We’re not even officially in a recession yet.
:banghead:
The economy was slowing down for over a year before this happened.
Note the word, “officially” in my statement. Personally I believe we are in a recession, but technically, that’s still being debated.
We sure as hell aren’t in a depression.
Not that we arent in a recession but you people are aware that things can slow down without being a recession right? As in GDP can go down 2-3% and seem like a big slowdown but in technicality not be a recession right? I think some of you people are not in understanding of how this is measured.
I suggest people read this:

LOL the most at the stuff from blackout. Im not even responding in depth to this. LOL once more for good measure.
def. full of shit.
I love the “official” stamp we need to make it a recession. Hey Vietnam wasn’t really a war as long as you don’t ask any of the soldiers. We were in a recession before this happen, we are in a recession now, and if things don’t improve we will see mass unemployment and a depression.
Bring on my tax breaks!
The more taxes that are imposed on business the less chance you will have for promotion, bonus, pay raise etc.
Classic class warefare at work here.
Why is it considered class warfare when you tax the rich more but when you lower taxes on only 5% of the country and seemingly are only concerned with their well being thats not considered class warfare?
For eight years the rich have had their president and congress, lowering tax rates and lowering business regulations while costs have skyrocketed on the middle class and salaries have began to flatline.
How many of us can say that our paychecks can go as far as they did two years ago?
Time to give us the break.
HOW DO YOU IDIOTS LIE TO YOURSELVES LIKE THIS?
