What’s changed on the cars? The rotors? Hub design? The way the rotors sit on the hubs?

one of the chain stores cross-threaded one of my lugs which was a pain in the ass. the f’n stud was jacked up.
fuck , at least make them use a torque stick on the fuckin air gun
i have the same one also , except i couldnt get my axle nut off so i took a piece of 5’ long tubing from my old roll cage and stuck it on the breaker bar, well stupid me got the breaker bar stuck in the roll cage bar and now i have a 6 1/2’ long breaker bar…lol…o and i still couldnt get my axle nut off
I would think you would snap the stud…I snapped the stud once with a 4 way
Ha I had the same problem at firestone getting tires put on my car.
I even told them specifically, I only torque my wheels to 70, that’s it, do no more.
I couldn’t even get the lugs off with an impact, or breaker bar, for atleast 20 minutes.
Anyways, not all chains are like that, we use torque sticks then a torque wrench on every car, it’s required, they fire people for not doing it haha…we <3 return customers.
ya i hear pep boys and another shops like it do things like this all the time.i just use my dads torque sticks when putting the lug nuts back on.
