Why teenage safe-driving programs aren’t working

imho kids aren’t driving anyways… they’re aiming. they’re aiming 2500lb steel missles. the slower the missle the better. ie my moms celebrity, the thing only went 65 so you knew i wasn’t getting a ticket!

I am going to buy my kids a 1970’s truck like mine.

  1. it will never be fast enough to get hurt in
  2. it will weigh more and run over all the small deathtraps the kids usually have

NO fuck jealous motherfuckers like you. my parents gave me a $700 cutlass ciera for christmas when i got my licence. the correct comment should have been screw motherfuckers whose parnets buy them cars and then are irresponsible and unapriciative. but how could i expect that from someone 16. :douchbag:

i have a reason to be jealous, when parents buy their kids $17K new scions or sunfires (i know shit cars, but still), and i am working my ass off trying to get my own. a 700 dollar car is nothing to be jealous of, thats all.

In a little over 2 years I’ll have a potential young driver in the house. She will get her permit if 1) she seems responsible enough for it, 2) her academic performance is how it should be, and 3) she realizes that it is a privilege and treats it that way. So far she’s on the path to getting it.

IF she gets it, she will be be doing more than the typical bullshit that most parents or even driving instructors teach. Sure you have all the laws and basic drivng principles to learn, which are all important, but what happens when you have to panic stop on a wet road? Or make a quick avoidance maneuver? We’ll be doing all of that.

i think you know why i quoted this.

kids are kids. They will do stupid things. Its in their nature. No amount of teaching will change this. Same as all those anti drug commercials. Unless you are delslow and get caught doing like 130 and your parents put a black box in your car. :kekegay:
