yup do it.
the only downside to this is that filling out those fenders withe wider wheels is going to eat wheel bearings more often on these cars. just a plain fact with subarus. Stuffing STI knuckles and related parts under the thing will help that matter, but then it gets expensive to do that.
I made some progress last night on one side. Took some jostling and had to rivet in one or two spots and then go back and undo those and re-position but so far its working out nicely.

as you can see the panel hasn’t been sanded or filled at all. I was just excited that i got it that perfect because when you first cut the separation there is a lot built up tension in the panels and they were way off.

such a fun ass car & project. I totally dig it. make some mounts up on the rack for a hi-lift jack on one side and a cannon or something on the other side!
