Will a KA from an axxess fit in the 240?

Hey, im Pat im 19, im from Tbay, and i own a 1990 240sx, i bought it for $300 with no engine, i basically rebuild the frame and the entire car, hoping to have it on the road by next month. I just have one question that i have been getting mixed answers on…i have a ka24de lined up with low kms…the engine was previously from a axess, im just curious if the engine will fit…bolt up to tranny…engine mounts etc…if somebody could help me out that would be great…thanks

No. First off the Axxess has a KA24E, not a DE, second it’s FWD, same as Altima, it won’t fit in a RWD chassis. I think the only other vehicle you can get the engine from is a hardbody pickup.

^ the hardbody has a different oil pan and sump… needs to be swapped with those from a 240 motor. it also has a completely different throttle body and intake system (no plenum).

there’s a few other sensors and minor things I can’t think of right now, but trust me, it’s not plug and play.

oh. and the hardbody had a ka24e from '90-97 and ka24de from '98-xx…

K thanks man…that helps a lot.

so does a 1990 240sx.
