I don’t agree with Jeg that the dems share of the blame is bigger than the gop’s, but for instance, Clinton signed the Graham Leach Bliley act that allowed banks to take on more risk than they have been able to since the Great Depression. It was a republican sponsored bill that wound up being veto-proof so Clinton had no choice.
There’s more to it, beyond what I could pretend to understand, and I’m sure Bush could have done things better, but he didn’t accidentally the whole economy.
damn it Fry.
But anyway, you didn’t figure out how it works yet.
All Republicans have perfect economic policies that are designed to magically kick in the exact second a Democrat takes office. All Democrats have absolutely horrible economic policies that magically kick in the second a Republican takes office.
I’d look for Bush’s awesome economic policy to start improving things around 1/20/09. :picard:
Why is it that we spend 87 billion on a war, and everyone throws a shit fit, yet we waste 700 BILLION trying to bail out the housing market fuckup, and thats fine? Perhapse you aren’t very good at math :gotme: but 700 > 87. Bush pushed for reform of the way Fanny May and Freddy Mac were being so careless.
hmmmmmm because maybe the housing market is something we HAVE to do. Its our country. This war is not a fucking necessity, its a waste it taxpayers money.
What other choice do we have for the housing market, its not like if we dont do anything it will just go away, something has to be done.
not to mention that the bailout was loans, which will be paid back, unless the companies go out of business, with interest. Iraq is not going to cut us a check for a few hundred billion dollars.
Something HAD to be done. But it wasn’t. I’m sure you have seen the videos where they urged the dems to reform and they refused saying nothing was wrong, even as the system was crashing down. It boils down to people got greedy as fuck.
Seriously, read that hyperlink I posted a little bit ago. it is quite long, but it explains the economic situations from like the past hundred years and why everything is the way it is today. Its a very good read. Not some GOP or DEM bs, but a non bias explanation.
jeg is going on the ignore list until 1/20. His economic posts are to my no talking about politics vow what drunk naked bitches in your bed are to a vow of chastity.
Jeg, seriously man, your not an expert. stop trying to talk down to everyone, you look like a fool and you are playing with fire right now.
Those mortgages will be paid back some way or another. The government will get their money, the banks will get their money, and the taxpayers, well they will just get fucked like always.
Sorry I will try to be more like you and Joe and just trust the the government to do what is right and rule my life without question, but only if they are democrats.
dude… seriously just stop posting. you contradict yourself, you clearly have no idea what your talking about and your theories are just way too fucking out there to deserve any sort of credit whatsoever.
Your stupidity has earned yourself a spot in my signature. a person of your intelligence clearly doesnt belong in a political thread. save yourself the trouble and just stop posting.
Yeah Iraq was a threat because they have WOMD, you know that they were going to tie to rocks and throw here. They have no air force and I’m convinced we can shoot down missals with patriots all over again. They are / were no threat.
So yes tring to finish daddys war, and doing nothing after he was warned about 9/11 and the governments poor response to katrina.
Yes he will go down as the biggest failed abortion in the world.
