I don’t really think so. Not in the long run anyway. Media spin tends to fade with history and the facts take over.
I think a lot of what has his approval rating so low right now has a lot to do with forces at work before he took office 8 years ago.
Iraq - Proven aggressive regime with weapons development programs stopped cooperating with weapons inspectors and violated UN resolutions.
Economy - GLB, housing, Greenspan, Ginnie Coefficient, etc all were setting our economy up for failure or indicating a downward spiral before he took office and because of decisions he didn’t make.
I dunno, he could have done better, but I don’t think he did poorly. I think it’s just convenient to blame him.
I say no because when Clinton was in the impeachment debacle and when he was president it seemed like he was the worst, but now he’s turning into an example that democrats like?
But the Obama administration should certaintly thank Bushy for some of the detrimental things that have happened economically and even culturally. For example:The US economy will correct itself during his 8 yrs, and all he really has to do is not get a BJ in the ofc and he’ll be forever known as the man who steered the country through the 2nd great depression.
Yes because both Republicans and Democrats don’t like him which means when future generations talk about him it will reflect what their parents and grandparents think.
Right now most of my students thought McCain should have been president but think Bush was awful. I believe that trend will last a long time.
I think once the history books are written the idea of finding no WMD’s in Iraq will make Bush a punch line in american history.
Also I disagree with the idea that most people thought Clinton was the worst in fact I remember a lot of resentment towards the republicans for wasting so much time on an issue that nobody cared about.
the fact that you think bush being the reason that will happen is just beyond me. They hate bush over there more than we do here and hes our own president.
Look at how much more respect we got from other countries when we elected obama. Bush destroyed their country and demanded them to conform to our ways. I would probably react the same way they did and rebel.
I wouldnt say he will be remembered as a “bad” president, but more of a president who doesnt know how to manage money properly.
As Fry stated, Much of the hate for Bush is media hype. As time passes, we will see the facts of what really happened in his administration as opposed to the spoonfed BS the media gives us.
considering half of america and most of the rest of the world think he should be charged with war crimes, or because they wanna throw there shoes at him. Or maybe even the huge economic downfall.
Clinton left our economy in great shape, then came george bush with his personal agendas and put our country into bankruptcy. :bush:
The only media hype is the shit that is covered up and thrown to the side so nobody sees how fucked up we look having a president who feels the need to invade countries that seem to have things we want (oil for you idiots).
Dont hump frys leg, he has enough sack riders on here. Bush did no good for our country.
Just like turbociv stated, it should be the number 1 goal of any president to leave the econonmy/country/presidential seat in the same, if not better shape than when they came into office. George Bush did more bad than good in his time in office.
Remember that skittles commercial where everything the guy touched turned to skittles? Well everything George Bush touches turns to shit.
this has to be the most asinine thing you have ever said. are you drunk? stoned? tripping? WHAT THE FUCK DUDE?! Seriously, do you know anything about our ecomony/government/country or are you just opening your mouth and letting shit fall out?
hey jeg, do you have any military experience? NO? didnt think so bud. All you know is what the media shows you so of course you wouldnt think anything else.
read that Jeg, let it sink in for a couple minutes. Now think about the bailout and all the other problems we are having right now…how can these problems be solved? How can we spend 87 BILLION dollars on a fucking war that has done nothing but empty our pockets and for what? to rid a person who is equivalent to our own president?
