i have been getting this problem alot latly. i dl a video and go to play it and iy gives me this

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or a required codec might not be installed on your computer.

i tried dl a codec of one site and installed it and still there was nothing thats changed… can anyone help me out here?
