i think cavis and grand ams and berattas are junk to start with. gm died twice… in 88 and in 96… i’m sure you can figure it out.

you can say what you want about this series car but they are proven they can withstand neglect… the cutlass ciera, celebrity, ponitac 6000 and buick century… those things are still all over the place becasue they are durable and cheap and easy to fix. the iron duke is tough to blow up.

yep my mother owned a 1987 6000, brand new from the dealer,
She replaced countless 3 speed trannys and still couldn’t kill the 2.5L.

She retired it with no problems and 23x,xxx miles. It sat in our garage for a year.
Jumped the battery and drove it on the flatbed to be junked.

No rust, Just shitty paint. Beast in the snow and loved drinking oil.
