with a euro based product line shift for ford is the us getting the focus rs turbo?

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=129828

After reading this they say that ford is switching from big trucks and suvs as their main sales to small econo cars and hybrids. And that they are planning on bringing many of the european ford cars to the us. Does anyone know if that would inculde the focus rs turbo because personally thats the only one i would be interested in. I personally dont think it would be a far stretch emissons wise becuase the mustang is getting the ecoboost v6 turbo in the next year or two. i was just wondering everone elses thoughts on this?

Too little too late, the RS is fwd and handles like garbage. We already have it here anyways, my ex has one, it’s called the MazdaSpeed 3.

yeah i guess your right. guess if i want a factory turbod ford ill have to wait for the mustang with the ecoboost or go find a 86 svo lol.

false: it is more similar to the volvo C30

I thought the RS was AWD?.. volvo S40?

RS is not AWD, and it is basically the volvo C30… and they’re meant to handle great! I doubt we’ll see on at first (they would cost too much), but I wouldn’t rule out something like it in the long run.

About time we get some of Ford EU’s toys, IMO, maybe too long. Love to try out a current Mondeo

I bet you they wont bring the RS turbo here and if they do, I bet it will exceed the saleen focus price of 21K

I hope if anything we get their new ford fiesta… Did I just say that?

edit: From the read the Ford Focus RS is supposed to be on that list as is the Fiesta. I feel like we would be buying more domestics of the US automakers would have been selling European variants here the whole time.
