I recently began lurking Nyspeed again and figured I would contribute. I didn’t see any threads on this and thought it looked cool. Whats everyone’s opinions on this? I think its cool Ford finally brought an RS to the US and its AWD.

I am just going to say, that I’m really happy about this. I think I’m going to try to list my mk1 RS replica for sale mid-summer and if I sell it I may take the cash in as a down payment on this new one…

No word on price yet the ST tops out at 28k. So I would imagine right in line with the Golf R and STI at 30-35k.

I see this thing pushing 40+ on anything BUT the base model.
no way… look where the ST tops out and this will be 33-38. I can’t see it being more than 10 over the mustang with the same basic engine either.
I’m super excited about this although I feel like it will end up being pretty expensive. Either way I’m just happy that it’s finally going to be available here!
I like it but the interior (minus the seats) is the worst.

I’ve been saying this for a while now but my feelings are getting stronger. I’ll always be a Honda fanboy though. RS is pretty cool. I like what they’re doing with the performance line. I saw somewhere that there is speculation of a Fiesta RS getting launched as well but only time will tell.

forgot to add that we now live in a world where if you buy a BMW it was built in America, but you can now get a ford that was built in Germany here. It’s Merkur all over again.
