WNY Buy Here Pay Here Dealers

Hey, sorry, i wasnt sure where to post this thread.
I have a question.
Are there any decent buy here pay here car dealers in WNY/Buffalo/Rochester area that wont rape you on interest rate? I am looking to get a new vehicle from a dealer, however i do not have much money to put down, and as far as i know, i dont have the best credit score. Any suggestions?

check your credit score and save some money? try creditkarma.com. It’s free to get a score and tracking, different than a credit report which doesnt include your score. Score checks are not hard pulls. They offer you credit cards and bank accounts and other sponsored things which is why its free. I’ve been using them for a couple years now

If your credit sucks, you’re going to pay a higher rate. Most dealerships will get you financed, but the rates could be as much as 14-15%.

If you don’t have much cash to put down, and you have a proven history of not paying your bills, then maybe financing a car is not for you. I’d suggest paying cash for a car with whatever money you have.

lol… the truth sucks sometimes.

This has winning written all over it.

What kind of car are you trying to buy?

Don’t worry, he does his own work, it’ll totally be reasonable.

I never understand why people (whose finances may not be in line) insist on financing a car rather than buying a cheaper car with the cash that they have. If you are resourceful enough and careful in your selection, you can save yourself so much money in the long run. I’ve been driving for 8+ years and have always paid in full cash for my cars. Have they been nice cars? No, but they have done what I have needed them to do and after selling them my “car payment” has never come even close to $100/month.

edit- I understand this is one way to build credit, but obviously the rates are going to be higher as you are attempting to “buy” your way back to a better credit score.

Pretty sure the Max is 28%, Imagine dealing with that.

justin has options to get people with horrible credit financed. It might be worth a look. swiderski motorcar

yeah fuck that. I would buy a $700 saturn before paying rape for a interest rate.

Go buy a new Chevy. Ally will buy anyone these days if you are on a new car and at a stupid rate to boot. People who should not be getting done period are driving away with single digit rates.
Stay away from buy here pay here.

You aren’t going to find a buy here pay here dealerships that sell new cars. Also, you aren’t going to find any buy here pay here dealerships that don’t charge an ass ton of interest because of the way the financing programs for people with no credit/bad credit is structured. If you are looking at the interest rate as the determining factor, then this isn’t where you want to be. I’ve had the reps for these programs give me the spiel as to why I should sign up with them as a dealer and it’s nothing that I would ever want to do. If your credit score is in the 500’s or sub 500, you will pay 28% or whatever the max is.

I do love it when people want to come and take a car of mine for a test drive, they set up a time, then they ask if I do buy here pay here, and I tell them to not come out as it’s not going to go anywhere but just waste everyones time.

If you need a car, buy the best one that you can with any cash you might have or can borrow from family/relatives/friends. Then, get a credit card from Orchard Bank with a $350 limit and use that as your gas card for the car. Pay it every month and use that to rebuild your credit.

Also, when looking for a car, if you are on Craigslist and see a car that a guy named Richard is selling, don’t call him as that is me and I know your situation and I don’t want my time wasted.

Best of luck

I think it’s time to occupy the dealership lot and protest how unfair it is Krant won’t finance people with bad credit. I’ve got a tent. Who’s in?

Riverside Credit Union has 2.65% advertised through the end of the month, how bad is your credit? I was going to go with them until Ally/Citizens/Basil beat their rate.

I screwed my credit up bad when I was younger and was paying 24% for about 8 months then traded in for a new car for 5%. It doesn’t take long to build it back up but your gonna have to pay for it.

I can be responsible for shitting in the streets to prove my point!

You would probably need at 720, at least, to get that kind of rate.

Some misconceptions in here:

24.99% is the max in NYS. Some banks cap it @ 24%.

Ally is not in a buying frenzy anymore. Good luck going through a credit union with anything less than “good” credit.

PS - you wouldn’t believe the amount of people who have 450 credit scores and have $100 to put down and contest why they can’t get a car. I blame it on their upbringing. No, I blame it on America.

lol at 450 and 100$

you guys scared him away

No, he just found some Obeasy money.
