damn that’s really cheap. Is it good or should you have bought a better one?
We should probably move this into a 3D print thread.
Put it together yesterday.
I’m far from an expert and know very little about the details of getting good prints and generating models. It has an all metal hot end and should allow printing in Nylon, and most other filaments.
Printed the small rabbit that came on the SD card in a half hour or so and it came out fine with no major issue.
I then flipped it over/around to change the voltage from 230V to 120V
That might have messed with bed level.
Tried to print the included cat file, and it broke free 45 minutes in.
Used auto level, and the 2nd and 3rd attempt also broke free.
I’m pretty sure it’s something easy to setup and fix via leveling and z-offset.
I am an expert (or at least a professional? idk)
lol, Los Angeles. Approve a tax on the wealthy, and the wealthy find ways to avoid it.
Proponents of the new wealth tax are not impressed. “Multimillionaires are giving away luxury cars to get out of a tax that helps people sleeping in their cars,” Peter Dreier, an urban policy expert, told the LA Times.
https://www.redfin.com/CA/Beverly-Hills/12945-Mulholland-Dr-90210/home/5260031
“Five million dollars is certainly not luxury. It’s a nice house, in a nice area. It’s not what most people would consider a luxury house in a prime area,” Tamkin said.
Damn that one home is fucking beautiful.
You know what is not visible in the satellite view on any of the houses on Mulholland dr…
Solar panels.
Solar panels are for the poor people (as well as water rationing laws). If someone is paying for a Helicopter Hollywood Tour of homes how are they going to see the homes if there are solar panels on top?
lol.
I bet there is an upcoming massive tax break for $5M homes if they switch to electric heat.
Related: Thiel thinks moving to Florida is no longer a bargain.
“If you buy a house in Miami today versus just three years ago, you’re paying four times as much for a monthly mortgage payment,”
But, I thought Florida was doomed because they’re passing all these radical hate laws, like putting child molestors to death and banning child gender mutilation? Why would anyone want to move there? Isn’t their housing market collapsing as millions flee the state?
PS… bring back the sarcasm tag.
I miss the pink sarcasm font to be honest.
Why does it have to be pink you fucking homophobe?
EDIT: This post also needs the sarcasm font
EDIT2: OOOooooohhh… Can we make a new sarcasm font that uses all the colors of the LGBBQ rainbow?
Ha LGBBQ
I can provide you with a general idea of how you could implement a sarcasm font with rainbow colors in a Discourse forum. You would need to do this with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and possibly some JavaScript.
Here’s a rough outline of how you can achieve this:
-
Create a new custom CSS file for your Discourse theme or edit the existing one. You can usually do this in the Discourse admin panel under Customize > Themes > Edit CSS/HTML.
-
Define a new CSS class for the sarcasm font with rainbow colors. You can use a CSS animation to achieve the rainbow effect. Here’s an example:
@keyframes rainbow {
0% {color: red;}
14% {color: orange;}
28% {color: yellow;}
42% {color: green;}
57% {color: blue;}
71% {color: indigo;}
85% {color: violet;}
100% {color: red;}
}
.sarcasm {
font-style: italic;
animation: rainbow 5s linear infinite;
}
This CSS code defines a sarcasm
class that applies an italic font style and a rainbow color animation.
- In your Discourse forum, users will need to apply the
sarcasm
class to their text. They can do this by wrapping the text they want to be sarcastic in a<span>
element with thesarcasm
class:
<span class="sarcasm">This is a sarcastic comment with rainbow colors.</span>
- If you want to make it easier for users to apply the sarcasm font, you can create a custom button in the Discourse editor toolbar to insert the required HTML. This would require modifying the Discourse JavaScript source code, which might be more complex and require some knowledge of the Discourse codebase.
Please note that this is a general outline and might need to be adapted to your specific Discourse setup.
God I love GPT-4 lol
whoa i will have to watch that talk with Thiel on Honestly, good find.
i can confirm Florida has gone nuts for property.
$2k/month just in HOA, taxes and insurance for a 1800sqft condo in a B-market. Plus $500k USD for a condo that was $250k 6 years ago. It’s crazy.
Still gonna do something down there but have to let the market come back a bit. it’s happening slowly.
Market is very slow to come down here. Houses I was looking at in the low 200s a few years ago are now 300+
Edit: I’m in FL haha
I’m going to miss my governor so much at the end of his term
Closing records finally updated. It sold for $352k.
Another one near me went up yesterday, open house is Sunday. Listed at $374900. Insanity.
And that is on top of 7+% interest.
