this has to be the coolest custom car i have seen in a while,tons of pictures and somevery amazing woodwork

The wheels are made from rotary cut oak veneers. Each veneer was rotated 36 degrees from the previous layer to maximize grain direction alignment with the spokes. A walnut sunburst was cut for the front while a cherry sunburst was used on the back. The 3-dimensional spoke floaters were copied on a pantograph machine which we fabricated. An aluminum plate with a 15degree bevel was glued and though-bolted to the front and rear faces of each wheel. These plates are designed to spread the loads seen by the lugbolts when the engine is pulling.

Man. I hope the guys GF or wife is an understanding woman. Pretty awesome concept though.
