I had it happen to me. When I got my apprenticeship at Darien Lake my pay was supposed to go up $1 an hr (yes they are incredably cheap), they messed up at put me in as a fulltime plum,ber which was like $14 an hr. (which is insulting considering any respectable company is paying like $20+) anywho, I told them when I got my check and they said have fun with your extra money. If they find out that they overpaid you and you didn’t say anything, those are grounds for being fired as it is considered stealing. People make mistakes.

I’m surprised that you didn’t get fired for throwing a hissy fit to your boss about someone else making more than you. That’s usually a good way to get your walking papers.
