Would this work or suggestions from experience.

I need to get a trickle charger or somthing to the effect that i can put on my battery this winter to keep it from draining. I have an optima red top and the car has an alarm on it. I prefer not to disconnect the battery for several reasons.

Would this be ok to use? I like i because its small and only 60 bucks. I don;t want to spend 140 bucks on a big ass charger whatever due to no room right now…

yea i got a cheap charger it has 10 amp and 2 amp settings. i use this alot for everything. i use it on the bikes, cars and trucks. just set it on like 2 amp and it will slowly charge it over time. just everyonce in awhile start it up

yeah it charges at 1 amp then switches to a 250 milliamp Mainteneance charge to keep it full…

I just want to make sure that its not going to hurt the battery with the alarm still on and it sitting from now till march.

Probalem I had last year was I would start it once a week but once it got to freaking cold it would die in about 3 days.
