Which would you rather ride (or die) in?
I’m talking about the drone-style cars in development like this one from Airbus:
Which ever is faster. 
I feel like the autonomous part will be safer in the flying drone but the chances of dying because of a mechanical failure will be far higher and probably cancel out any diminished risk that you get with decreased congestion and proximity in the sky.
So it boils down to do you want to die because your Tesla plows you into a semi at 65mph because a sensor failed to notice it or do you want to plummet from 1000’ because a prop nut came loose on your Airbus auto-drone?
Personally I’ll stick to the ground and driving myself for quite some time, and hope that some AI car owned by corner cutting Uber doesn’t mow me down.
Parachute on car would help.
Depends on how high up you are.
Flying. If I’m gonna die I want to direct my vehicle at someone i don’t like first, flying car would be better at this.
