all depends on what California law says it is, or if it ties into Life Insurance etc.
if shes got a life insurance policy through them and is killed on the job it would be a lot more than 8k. even when i worrked my non union dywall delivery job. my regular life insurance was 10k but if i was killed on the job it payed out 150k
