WOW... Wilson Manifolds' new V-Force EFI setup

This idea seems so awesome that i’m really interested in it. Easy way to take any carb manifold and convert it to use EFI fuel injection!

yeah TBI they used it on the 4.3’s and 5.7’s about 15 years ago… JUNK still not gettin fuel to the front and back cyl.

change the intake and get MPI

its not quite TBI…it has 8 injectors and is used with aftermarket ECU’s…basically moved injector locations and with use of a single plane, it should net very good distribution

Unless each injector has it’s own port into each intake runner that = useless.

wow, thats f’n ghey

this thing is basically a EFI carb…and carbs make more power than most setups and have been for YEARS…they maintain good distribution. how can you call it lame??

because ur opinions are lame. That setup is junk, will cost too much and will be just like a carberator it will be a thing of the past.

i never stated any opinions…what i said is fact and from the manufacturer. And 689 for a decent EFI setup is not that bad

Only becaues NHRA outlaws FI in top fuel. your reasoning is gay.

my reasoning?? what are you talkin about? Top Fuel is a whole other ballgame. I’m not tryin to prove carbs are better than EFI. And i wasnt even trying to promote this EFI/Carb setup or w/e. Just showing a new concept EFI system that i just seen in the Whats New section of this magazine that looks promising.
And for street EFI setups, its hard to beat the capabilities of carb manifolds. Only other things EFI that flow close to a single plane carb setup is TPIS’s 1200 dollar miniram. And Why are they making carbed LSX manifolds? have you seen some of the tests they have? flow the same as if not better than most composite manifolds and are abit cheaper i believe.

On the street EFI will always be better than Carb.

There are 2000hp twin turbo EFI big block cars that run around with plates and inpsections, i’d like to see a carb motor do that without a gas station behind it on a trailer

key word, twin turbo.

There are blower setups out there with 2 carbs on top that will do the same exact thing. Big dan that runs the flashlights had a willys i believe that was an 8 second cruiser

you obviously missed the point.

I agree fuel injection is better than carbs…you can get better fine tune tuning with EFI ecu’s. Thats no question there.

Just comparing typical Fuel injection setups out there, you have only limited options and performance. For GM side of things, TPI kills out over 4500rpms, LT1’s only fit LT1’s or smaller port heads when converted over to GEN I bolt pattern, miniram flows well but is expensive out the ass, HSR is nice and probly your best bet for the money but i think it only makes power to 6500rpms. lingenfelter Superram is very expensive and only makes power to near 6grand on some motors. Its a pain in the ass to work on tho.
only other option is the MPI systems that use a converted carb manifold and carb style TB. those arent necessarily cheap either but can be if you shop around and setup your own kit.

this new fuel injection setup does seem promising over the other systems available. A good single plane manifold will outflow any of the top EFI intake setups out there

And for other cars like MOPAR which doesnt really have a great fuel injection market other than perhaps MPI systems which can cost some money for complete kit, this new EFI setup looks good to convert over to benefits of EFI. Any motor really could do this. How bout a big 455 pontiac EFI?
