The chip installs into the air temp sensor, located one the air tube itself
i did this in my firebird lt1… all it does is make the air temp sensor read one temp. mine was somewhere around 42 degrees. that way it wont pull timing… there for giving you more power… but if your running on the edge there will be some detonation because it thinks its 42 and it can be 95 outside. there for causing detonation.
i used a 4700K resistor in mine. just a lil uglier but it cost me .25
