WTB: 2006+ White Honda Civic Coupe

Yes, and I’m saying, even now, in 2006, GM can’t do better than the interior Nissan designed in the 80’s

cuz gm is pure shit, my opinion is dont even bother looking into domestics stick with japanese, thats well worth your money. all the way around…interior/performance/reliablility,usage

if it were me, i would choose the civic. since its your sister i dont think the s2000 will fit her needs/wants, unless she wants to join the s2000 club and go to meets lol :? knowing girls they would want to have more room for shopping bags and friends…

Better yet, tell her to get an S13, and start hanging out near timmies, just kinda leaning on your car, looking real mean. Then maybe she can slowly learn the art of running impractically flush wheels, hardparking and lowballing. She can never paint the car, or do so in tremclad, and maybe throw in a floor and trunk brace for good measure.
When she masters all this, she can come to this forum and start bullshit threads, post pics of picard and make comments about people’s moms.

You don’t know John’s sister, do you?

I don’t know her either but I do know what she wants and needs.

…in a car. heh.

John tell your sister to get a bmw 05-06 alpina white bmw m3 roadster. nice quick cars.

Hahahaaha the problem is that you guys really do not knwo Annie. and the S2k is like the ultimate car for her.
Ill see what I can find for you John. I MIGHT have a lead on one.

and no I will not post pics of you sister, Just to protect her.

dont lie benson … its to protect you

annie would kick your asss

yeah i guess you guys are right, the s2k in white is always the best, just dumped with oe rims or some baller rims.

I love how adding black borders makes average photos seem professional grade.

Hehehe looks like a guy is barfing in the first pic

hahaha it is a lottle of both Mike. I have some respect for my friends

Little

but if you look close you can find something

How about the CSX Type-S? Its like the new Civic Si, but available and with four hinged swinging doors. And it comes in white… with 197hp… and six gears

Being a former employee at honda, i’ve always had a desire for the S2.
Driven a couple and beat the snot outta one in particular, the light chassis isn’t exactly for the faint of heart. That thing was easy to break loose, but a whole lotta fun. Aside from one s2 with a special edition azure package, the interiors are fucken shit. i hate the bland, boring styling, but the azure had a nice suede leather combo going on, but the others, hardly what I would expect and a big let down imo, 350Z interior is much nicer personally.

but the new civic SI is pimp. Fit and finish, silky smooth, classic honda gear box and an amazing interior, really raised the bar. Not to mention its FWD and can be driven year round.

I know of one white s2 in markham that the whole right side (I believe) was replaced, beware although i am not sure if it is for sale (pulls to the left if you floor it)

good luck

Oakville Honda just got in a 2k6 White s2k, Annie has been all over that shit already and its just up in the air whether shes going to get a 2k7 civic si, a 2k7 civic ex or this white 2k6 s2000.

BTW, I completely disagree with the s2000 interior being shitty. I went and checked out a few cars with annie last weekend, 350z, mx5, mx3, mx6, s2000, saturn sky, and one more that i cant remember and the s2000 is by far the nicest interior in my opinion a league of its own compared to the other cars I listed. It’s plain, but it’s sexy and extremely functional.

Personally, I’m trying to convince annie to buy the Civic EX, she doesn’t need a car which is anything remotely fast because she has a GSX-R for that. She just needs something to listen to music, get to school and work, and she wants to look good doing it.

The new civic coupe is a sexy car no matter which model, the Si is a tad nicer because of spoiler and such but she’ll save so much money buying the EX that she can go buy a spoiler later down the line.

BTW, They want $700 for that spoiler. That made me laugh. You can buy fully functional fully carbon fiber spoilers for less than that from the after market and I’m sure hondas production costs on that spoiler are far less than that of the after market. They sure rape you on accessories.

 So let me get this straight? Youve never driven one but ridden in it a million times on the street? Looking past who was driving it (Im sure he was a pro) where on the street where you able to gauge the cars handling ability at the limit?

On the track the S2K also has understeer and body roll when pushed to the limit. Granted it is a well sorted car (very neutral in the corners) but it exhibits the same characteristics as the G when pushed hard.

Ofcourse the G is going to be harder to turn look at the size and weight as compared to an S2k but the G has a wonderful powerplant whereas the S2Ks is limited in many ways. Some suspension and the G can be quite a serious handling car.

Im not trying to knock you here but making blanket statements like the above when you really dont have the experience will mislead ppl.

I’ve also been on the track with both of these vehicles, many times, and John and I did get into an argument about this one, but I (an unskilled driver) managed to pass a G35 on shannonville. Now John argues that the driver was completely talentless, which is true, but my car is stock. How fast you are is a skill*car. Now with something like an STi (a lot of the guys driving them were BEYOND awful), I still can’t keep up, even though I can point out specific cars with drivers far worse than me, but with the G, I could. Same thing with the S2Ks, even the bad drivers, still blow by me like I’m standing still, because they can carry a lot more speed through the corners than the G does. Not only that, I was observing where I was catching up, it was always at, and right after the corner, because the G would shed a lot more speed than me.
I’m not gonna argue that it’s not a nicer street car, because lets face it, for the street, power is everything. But on the track, all things being equal between two drivers, I’d put my money on the S2K and I wouldn’t be worried in the slightest.

I actually had a little discussion on IRC with Solarian about this the other night.

I’m not going to go find all of the numbers again but here were the results, stock vs. stock, 2006 vs 2006.

Top Speed:
G35c > S2000

0-60:
G35c > S2000 (G is way faster)

1/4 Mile:
G35c > S2000 (G is way faster)

Skidpad:
G35c > S2000 (only by a little)

Slalom:
S2000 (71MPH) > G35c (70.8MPH)

But it’s funny, because I still love the S2000 just as much as the G35c after only sitting in a few, the interior is unbelievably perfect. (for me)

Well, it’s good to know that my seat of the pants is a good measure, but it isn’t just the performance that draws me to the G.

Antonio, did you have discussions with the G driver about his driving tactics? If I was him, I would be taking it easy on the car in the corners more so than the straights untill I knew how it handled (and really well too).

It is harder to find the limits of a heavier and more powerful car. I’m sure if he had a $3000 car on the track, he wouldn’t have given much of a care about just throwing it into the corners, like he would a 40 - 50K car. Ya know what I mean?

I guess the caring about the more expensive car point is pretty good. I would be taking it a whole lot easier if I had a pricer car as well.
But now I’m gonna nail John on the numbers he just posted.
If the G has way better accel, top speed and even skidpad numbers, wouldn’t the S2000 need to handle MUCH better to get close to it’s slalom numbers? Because those are a function of power and handling, correct? If one car has considerably more power, the other must handle considerably better to match the number.

you nailed it dude.

a month ago the DVP south was closed, and i was driving home late at night after dropping my girl off, had to take bayview north from lakeshore (anyone who knows this route knows the twisties). So who flies by me, a tricked out black G 35 with rims, exhaust, from what I could see. very clean and well done and fast. So we hit the corners (i’m in my stock KA with suspension work and minor doo-dads) and I was on this guys tail the whole time, ripping it, on the verge of losing contact with the pavement.

the G was pushing it hard and he was probably pissed and wondering who the F is behind him (I didn’t attempt to pass because I am not familiar with the roads). So while we are ripping the crap outta our cars (mine at least), his being worth x5 the value of mine, and who do we catch up to? A porshe 911 turbo S I believe, brand new, and we both fly by him.

Now am I gonna say my stock s14 is faster than a porshe, or just as fast as a G? No, cause it all comes down to driver skill and how much you have to lose (me 10K on a good day compared to 50K that the other guy paid just a few months prior).

and if i was gonna pay 50K for a ride, I want it to feel like 50K when I sit in it. The s2 interior is alright, but I just don’t feel like its a car of its price from sitting in it. The benzo 290 kompressor was alot more impressive, and the 350Z is much more inviting (the last s2 i drove was a 2005, so maybe honda stepped it up for '07?) i can’t say, but it all comes down to each, thier own, especially with asthetics, but the plastic in the s2 jsut looked really cheap IMO.
