looking for a first car, love 300’s hopin this is the place to get one for my budget
To be really blunt, it’s not very realistic to get that car at that price in decent shape. If you’ve got connections for parts and labor and such, you might be able to find a suitable fixer upper.
im going to assume your under 20, make sure u check with insurance. And keep saving up or you’ll end up with an automatic high mileage non turbo 2 + 2 beater… unless you mean a Z31, if so you should be able to find something very nice for that kind of money.
For real, I’m 19 and I wouldn’t even talk to a broker about buying a 300ZX, even an N/A model, for fear of being laughed out of the place.
^^^ I bought my 300z 2+2 when i was 20. I paid $174 / month untill i was 21 where it dropped to $130.
You will not find a Z32 300z for under $7g’s. You *might find a rough Z31 that will cost you another $3g’s after buying it for $4g’s… 8)
My first car was a SOHC 240sx when i was 17, drove it to 20 put 60k on it and it only cost $500 in repairs.
You can get a great 240sx for $3000 to $4500-ish. And you won’t have to worry about the headache of repairing a car you can hardly afford to buy in the first place. *edit: you will have a hard time finding a mechanic that will actually know what the hell they’re looking at…even your local Nissan dealers (trust me). Then there’s parts, or the lack there of. I bought a theft recovered 92’ 300z for parts, it helped alot…and costed alot. Z’s are not cheap! (they require 92+ octane too… $1.15/litre! 8) )
