My dad would sell ours if you’re interested. It was frame of restored, finished a few years ago. Would let it go for a song.

Right now im looking to spend no more then 2 g’s. But i really want to restore this car because ive never worked on one, so this will give me a chance to learn all about it.

This one is close, but the wrong year, it is a project and very cheap:

Have you ever worked on a riding lawnmower?

It isn’t too different.

Heres one- it’s not too far away and it’s cheap.

Wow thanx, looking into this old bug, i would love to to metal work on 1.

my moms good friend has a 72 or 74 super beetle , has some surface rust but no rot and is in pretty good shape and still runs. I kno you said 60’s but I figured id let you know.

Yea has to be a 63-65 to make the perfect clone.

I got ya, well good luck. Should be a pretty sweet turn out if you find one and put some time into it.

I have so much paperwork and so many people to do the hard work, like the seats where custom, for the clone i need someone to make the wheels, they are 78 oldsmobile cutlass wheels with the centers cut out and vw centers welded in to give it the deep dish look. Lots of time will go into this car. Its the 1 car i have wanted since i was little. + i think it would be a huge hit driving it around town.

Thats a cool plan. I have a lot of little bits and pieces for these cars, used new and NOS stored away. I had a '65 project you would have loved, but I sold it to a guy in Buffalo a few years back. I haven’t seen it around since but I think the guy is still around- you can always message Maineak1970 on Samba to see if by chance it’s for sale.
