WTB: aluminum steering bushing

http://www.store.yahoo.com/phase2motorsports/ph2alstbun.html

This is recommended as part of an sr swap since the only way to get to it is with the motor out.

Has anyone put one on? Where is it located and is it worth it?

How does a car feel with that? Hurtful and painful or? I’m honestly afraid for all the polyutherane bushings that are on the way for my car and how it’ll feel hehe.

For all 89-94 S13 240SX improve steering response and feel by adding aluminum bushing spacer on the steering shift linkage. CNC’ed aluminum silver finish.

Ok I’m not sure about the rest of you… but I’ve taken apart a few steering racks and all that, and I don’t remember seeing anything like this. As well Not sure where the steering linkage “shifts” if at all…

I do know that the energy suspension poly bushings do a good job at tightening up tired old 240 steering racks… But to be honest, I don’t really know what or where that part does or goes.

I have one, but its thpethial and mine. And I paid more for it…

You have to follow the linkage, its not hard to find, and I’m pretty sure you can get to it with the motor in. I haven’t installed mine yet, but as with all solid bushes, its sure to make it feel awesome.

Then again, if you aren’t gonna use it for what its intended for… why the hell bother, the standard bush is probably fine.

im looking to do light track use with it, but mostly street.

I’ll do some more research on it, and if it comes down to it i can get one off ebay for $20 if I want too.

yeah I was thinking about this too, tomorrow i have to take my downpipe off and fab me a new one, im allso planing to look where that steering bushing goes, and making myself one.

My buddy has one on his Datsun and it improved his feel of the road, tightened up the steering.

Didn’t notice a difference at all.

Useless. My friend put one in his car and it didn’t do anything.
