WTB: Anybody sellin a crotch rocket?

Hey, that season’s just about here and I’m looking for my first bike (street bike)…Just wondering if anybody knows of one for sale relatively cheap or if anybody on here is personally selling one…I’d appreciate any feedback…Thanks.

Juicedss is selling a great learning bike; it’s in the FS section…

On another note; I’m looking for a bike myself… anyone got leads on a '98-'01 CBR900/929RR that hasn’t been beaten on???

Might want to take a look at that FAQ link. Moved to classifieds.

Is there such a thing?

Occasionally.

yea, or at least one that’s not too beaten on… I think they all will have some beat marks, but I don’t want one that’s trashed…

For $2k you can buy a new ninja 500. But don’t. Have about $4k for anything close to decent. If you do I can point you in the right direction, if not take a trip to a local cycle place, tell them right off the bat you’re looking to finance a bike and have a budget of $4k, that way they will be less hesitant on showing used stuff.

take a trip over to StuntFactoryX.com as well, it’s a local Rochester sportbike group, bikes usually pop up for a good price there.

yea…i’ve stopped at dealers and they all give you the same run around about the used stuff…ya know, they have some coming, they don’t know what they might get…i actually hate goin to a dealership to buy anything…usually with a private owner sale its way easier to work out price and just pay cash and get on the road from my own experience…

plus…i’m in between jobs right now so tryin to get a loan is not gonna work out and there’s no way i’m gettin a co-signer…my parents are not even kinda cool with bikes…

you should check out JUICEDSS’s bike.

can somebody send me the link for the post…i can’t find it on here…

go on sportriders.org and message ROMAN. he just got a 93 suzuki katana 600 in, hes probably selling it cheap. great starter bike

My parents weren’t cool with one either. Then I moved out and bought a 2006 R1. Boo-ya. But yeah, by all means a bike is a bike, so get what ya can to get started.

Roman buys and sells bikes all the time. I can see if I can pull up his myspace page, he usually has pictures of the bikes on there. I’d check him out :headbang:

cool…thanx for the help so far…at least i have a better shot than just the buffalo news…and ebay…wish me luck…now i just gotta start slammin some money together

If it’s a first bike, I don’t recommend a Liter bike by any shot… I started with a CBR600F3 as my first bike and it was a great starter “rocket” style. Find something older with a few miles on it that you won’t have to worry too much if you dump it.

Personally, I’ve been out of riding for about 5 years and am looking at older bikes like the one I listed. I would love a new R1, but I don’t have the $8-$10K for a newer one, and I’ve been out of it so long I want something a little less crazy to play with. Thus me looking in the '98-01 range for the CBRs which I have expereince with. I’ll find one in decent condition, spend 2-3 weeks and go through it, have it painted, upgrade a little and have a sweet ride for ~$5K-6K give or take.

check out my thread, great first bike, quick, and relatively cheap…

awsome starter bike, its in great shape, and can definatly keep up with the best of em
