Correction they have to share the same common profile…just like there is usb 1.1 and 2.0…bluetooth also has different versions and different profiles…there are many headsets that are in fact useless with some bluetooth phones…:greddy:
wrong. all bluetooth is universal, thats why the name is bluetooth(from king bluetooth). the 1.1 1.2 2.0 all that shit is just the version number with updates. the only way u can get blocked out of a bluetooth headset is if u have a carrier like verizon who puts everything they have on lockdown.
then please explain why certain headsets that are sold don’t work with all phones…i do this for a living and have paper evidence…sprint and other carriers run a bunch of tests with headsets and phones and there is a list compiled of what works with what…

i attended a workshop on bluetooth in 1999. I am surprised that the technology still is kinda shitty when they started developing it way back then. It does not surprise me that phone companies do that, so i imagine xlogic is on the ball with that info
