Just posting up in case someone has a bike they’re trying to get rid of. I have always wanted to learn to ride a bike and the time is finally here. I’m looking for something relatively cheap. Crotch rocket style bike. Maybe a 250 or similar to learn on. Let me know what you have or have seen around. Was hoping to stay around $2,000 or less. I don’t care if its got a messed up set of plastic, I just need it mechanically sound.
Hey man i know your from rochy, and in the beaver county times there are ninja 250s for around your price and theres a ninja 500 for 1800. Im about to get a bike too and im from new brighton so if i find you anymore ill keep you updated.
250’s aren’t bad to learn on…a buddy of mine has one…sucks riding with him though lol.
Personally if you plan on keeping the bike…i’d get a ninj 500 or a older 600…they aren’t nearly as powerful as the new 600’s
Yeah i have decided against a 250 because i hear you get sick of them in like a month. Im taking the motorcycle safety course at the end of the month just so i can get my license. I hear its pretty cake and i can all ready ride. I’ve been riding my dads 03 road king so i cant wait to get a bike thats more my size. Im down for getting a group or people together for some rides. I’ve all ready been trying to find some people around the area.
I have brand new clutch plates for it because when i bought it the clutch slipped a bit. So i ordered a clutch and did an oil change and the oil change made the clutch not slip. Im pretty sure the previous owner put car oil in it but now it has 15-40 semi synthetic oil in it.
I bought it about a month ago and i love the bike its just a tad to small!!
I just got 68.5 miles to the gallon!!! on my last tank
Well I picked up the bike posted above. It will be perfect to learn and get the hang of. It didn’t seem like it was real small until I parked it beside my cousin’s Suzuki 1000 something-or-other. Now I just need a plate and the rain to stop!
Thanks again Zac. Tell your buddies that helped load it thanks too.
Congrats on the bike, I just picked up a 94 FZR 600 for 1800. Pretty good deal, i promised my dad i wouldn’t start riding until i finish the safety course this month. He is a harley man and is nervous about me on a crouch rocket, but just riding it down the road its so much easier for me to ride than his road king haha. We deff got to meet up and go for some rides.
whoa I used to have a 93 fzr 600. K&N filter, stage 3 jet kit and a yoshi slip on. not as fast as the other early-mid 90’s 600’s but still made like around 100 hp and ran high 11’s i think. Sucks they used steel frames on the fzr 600’s though.
