heres my problem. i have a 89 civic std and i bought an hks exhaust for an civic si figuring it would fit but i guess the d16 header comes down farther cause im short like 15 inchs of pipe. so im looking to buy a d16 header/manifold but the flange at the end has the have the triangle flange with 3 bolts. not looking to spend alot but not looking for junk either. let me know what you have please.
That 3 bolt flange is on the converter not the header. It sounds like your missing the converter out the exhaust. I am pretty sure all the manifolds are the same length. You may want to pickup a test pipe.

well the converter is just farther up on the manifold. then another pipe comes down but is not long enougth. i can see the converter and the three bolt flang but i believe this will do the job. good work. anyone have this test pipe then? there like 60-70 online i would like it sooner than later

There 30 shipped on ebay. Take a pic of the manifold if you can. I have yet to see one that looks like that. I know some have a small section before the converter. But that should still line the rest of the exhaust up the same as everyother civic.

He needs a header that has the converter downstream rather than right in the middle. Right now there’s a catalytic converter sized gap between the header and exhaust.

so i need obv whats labeled need. im still pretty confused lol. if i buy a header/ manifold i will be short casue no cat. so i found the flanges on jc whitney so i could have something made up or a test pipe is another option but i can’t find the right one with the right flanges thats around 15inchs which is the size of the gap i have.
Ahh I see, You have the cat right of the head just about? If so, then yes you will have to pickup another header and converter to use the HKS catback.
