I want to see FPS during game play also.
1280x1024 I believe at 75mhz refresh rate if I recall (might be 1024x768 though). I haven’t played the game since I beat it shortly after it came out.
I built my computer SPECIFICALLY for that game.
I’ll install it one of these nights and confirm all my claims just for you guys :).
That is weak resolution. I want to see it run smooth at 1600x1200 or something around there.

its not that i dont believe you its just i’ve built countless systems over the last few years and most of them have been tested on games like crysis and i know what your card can and cant do…

and gaming on a tv isnt the best idea unless its 1080 progressive,rather stick with 26inch MONITOR way better

a 26 inch monitor would be sick , always get a monitor vs a tv if u can afford it… it never pays to game on a tv unless the tv is some 50-60-70 inch fuckin monster tv

I am an FPS whore… I dont care what anyone says and how the human eye cannot see over 30-60 fps or whatever it is I dont give a fuck…
I played games competitivly for money for quite some time… and anyone who plays games seriously will tell you even if you cant see the FPS difference you can sure as fuck feel it in the gameplay and movements of your mouse…

I built my friends maching… BFG 8800GTX i forget the core 2 but it was the first Quad core that came out…
I overclocked it to 3.4ghz and had is video card overclocked about 20%
Even with that at 1600x1200 on all high settings it completely killed the grpahics card… whil eit was playable it was not smooth at all…
BTW 8800 seriies while market with DX10 do not fully or truely support DX10 aslong with the first batch of ATI cards that were “DX10 compatible”
Id like to see your comp play GTAIV on all high maxed out settings even at 1280x1024… Even singhs computer had a hell of a time with that

anyways yea gtaiv pressed my pc a bit, but the ram was bottleknecking me and the video card’s ram as well, u really need 1gb of video memory to hold all of those high res textures on your card at once… and 512 isnt enough
yea the gx2 is a “1gb card” but its fucking 512mb x 2 and its shadowed so tell me wat the point of that is LOL
and btw shady, gtaiv (still doesnt i believe) hasnt supported sli since it came out, so i was running with one pcb… gpu/ramdac/etc
sucks but w/e and that means the 295 will only be running 1gpu on gtaiv but it will be enough to rock the game
nah its more realistic, but LFS is more fun and its realistic as well…
but iracing when u drive the car it feels like your driving the car and not just a video game shit
but its not enough for me to pay for it, for these guys to learn the tracks, then its worth it, but i dont race for real… cant afford it so i dont need to be fucking with iracing…
the graphics lack, and the car selection imo isnt much but they always update the game like LFS

I dunno man. My 26" looks great with PC games and my 360. Call of Duty is a blast on it. I’m not running it via VGA cables, I’m running it via DVI…if that makes any difference.
Thats the only thing that may vary in our argument/discussion here.
To me, the game runs and looks flawless on max settings. Is my FPS sky high? I don’t know, nor do I care. All I know is the game runs the way it is intended to (meaning no skipping, no drawing for seconds at a time, etc.)
And I don’t have GTAIV. I have it for the XBox 360 so I won’t be able to test that.
I will test COD 4 (Modern Warfare) and Crysis (I have both - I’ll only install one of them - which one do you want me to test) though on full settings and report back. Again, I haven’t played the game(s) since they first came out, but I’m pretty sure/confident that I did run them on max settings with no issues. I’m so sure, I’m willing to make video lol.
well with 1024 res man its nothing to talk about, but yeah i can throw u some games that bust my pc’s balls,
the best thing to do is go get 3dmark06 run that and if u get over 15k score then ill take back everything i said, but even with that res u prolly wont crack 13k
i was doing 17 before with stock clocks im sure it will be over 30k now

Last time I ran my comp at 1680x1050 I think I just hit the 11k mark… my gfx card is what kills me right now
