im looking for a good condition motor to swap into my friends car to pass e-test. you can have the motor back or i can buy it off you. either or works for me. i can have ur motor back to you same day if need be.
what is your friend’s car failing on for e-test? probably cheaper and esier to just fix his motor.

hows the coolant in the car? car doesnt over heat? exhaust leaks? bad cat? EGR works?
check all the vacuum lines related to the egr. the one usually bad comes off the steel line from the exhaust to the egr transducer. it gets hot and cracks.
also retard the timing, test it then re-set the timing to reduce nox
