You need an LT1 t56 for an sbc / bbc
Ls1 is for ls1 based blocks including the LQ’s I believe
The lt1 t-56 is a bolt up option for later SBCs. I have a two piece rear main seal and would end up spending 400 on a flywheel to run it. This stopped me from throwing one on last year. With plans on going fuel injection down the road I didn’t want to have an lt1 t-56 around when I do pull the motor.
I’m going to run McLeod apapter 8207.
You can get a flywheel from a 70s truck and use the proper sized clutch… that’s what I did on my 2pc.
Mine was internally balanced so it was easy mode. I know someone with a couple ls1 t56s ill give him a call
