WTB: Need boxes for rims/tires. anyone?

Looking to ship out my rims and tires. Just wondering if anyone had boxes I could use (I’ll throw you a few bucks) or if anyone knew offhand of boxes the correct size. Just looking to make my life a little easier. thanks.

I’ve got two boxes you could use. Brand new too

You might need to test fit. I know they will hold wheels, but if the tires are still on then you may be SOL.

I might still have the boxes i recieved my rims in (they fit 18" rims) i know i used them when my dads shop moved ill look to see if i still have them

just put cardboard over the rim and shrink wrap them.

where would i shrink wrap something?

and this is for rims and tires, tires are still mounted

boxes?? What the hell for. Wheels and tires are the easiest items to ship. The rubber tire is your shipping container. All you need to do is take a razor knife and cut 3 or so layers of cardboard in a circle bigger then the rim but smaller then the tire. Do the same for a sheet of bubble wrap or a old towel. Place the bubble/towel on the face of the rim and then the 3 layers of cardboard on top. Tape to tire (temporarily).

You can leave the backside open of put a sheet of cardboard there as well. If I do put cardboard on the backside I tear a large hole on one end and fold it in so the carrier can use it as a handle. If the backside is open then the wheel is easy to grab. Wrap tape around the entire wheel/tire several times in a few spots. Make sure everything is tight and it wont snag anywhere on a conveyor.

Thats it. Its much simple the a lousy box. Tires are 100 times more durable then a box and dont get damaged in shipping. It also makes it much easier for the carrier to move the packages areound because they can be rolled.

You will be shipping them individually. Price difference is nil.

Use Fedex ground or DHL.

Do it. Im an expert at this.

thats how a porshe dealer sent a oem 20" for a cayanne needless to say the guy got his 5g back
