I’m looking for a rear end housing from a 72-79 nova or other GM X body anyone got one or know of one?

i kow someone selling a whole 78 nova hatch… id assume cheap as its pretty rough, shell only no motor.
doesnt need to be nice. I’ve put too much money into my 8.2. I figure if i can pick up a housing i’ll buy a new eaton lsd and do it on the cheap. I was actually thinking about using a late model gov lock unit, but have recently heard they are not good for performance use

well what is it your looking for then an 8.5? 8.2 was in early year novas 8.5 came out in 75 maybe? cud be wrong but i know my car came with 8.5 and my 77 has 8.5 also

8.5 started in 72. Brian might havea 12 bolt?? hmmm 2nd gen is about 1.5 inch wider and the perches have to be moved
