WTB: s52 - e36 BMW m3 motor

Caaash in haaand. want an s52 motor and trans.

Whats the cost difference from a euro to a US?

Check BimmerForums there are a bunch on there now. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1084814

euro is 321hp itb’s, etc. usdm s50 is 240hp. usdm s52 converted to obdI puts out ~275hp at the crank. s50’s are ~2500, s52s are 2500-3k. euro s50’s are usually around 7 or 8k

edit: bavarian auto recycling is way overpriced. I mean it’s nice because they warranty everything (I’ve bought a fair amount of stuff from them) but they definitely charge a premium

so def not worth it

I’m floating the same idea… it’s a hard choice because I can just turbo or supercharge my 328 for a little more money and end up with a lot more power for the cash.

Coming from the guy that says Power is the last thing you want on the track.

Then with turbo/supercharging you have to worry about cooling and other BS…

did you really think that I purchased a 328ic for track days  this is my fun / street car / daily car… I intend to purchase a more dedicated track car after the evo sells.

I would hope so  come on a convertible on the track would be super!

aaron throw in s52 cams, euro hfm, injectors, chip, and be happy

LS1 swap, go.

there was this thing for cheap

Andre, I may have a line on one for you, I’ll get back to you in a few days on it

thanks. Also, I would very much take a wrecked e36 m3. I could use the s52 in my wagon (as well as front susp/brakes) and the vaders in the new dd I just picked up tonight (will post pics tomorrow, need to get a ride to lockport first to pick it up)

I’ll sell you my vaders if you’d like them.

did you buy a 328?

si. but i want the s52 for the touring. want suspension, wheels (car has ASA 17’s but I don’t like them) and vaders for this. also need a roof rack
