No that would be a break action shotgun.You can still pump and get more then one shot off with a pump action semi.

Deer never know where bullets come from so they often run towards you instead of straight away.You will usually have a broad side shot then for a second but it might be closer or farther away.It also depends where you hunt and how open it is.
