WTB: TiAL 50mm BOV

as the topic states i’d like to buy a TiAL 50 mm bov with the 11psi spring… lightly used prefrabably but show me what you got. if i can’t any used ones i’ll just buy a new one i guess.

I got one

I can get you a new one for $220 plus shipping ($8-$10) If you want something fast I have a Synapse Engineering Valve and a VW install kit on hand.

wanna sell et to me for alot less then you got it for?

i’m really set on the TiAL but i will let you know after waterfest, maybe i’ll catch some deals there.

You really cant beat the quality of the Synapse Synchronic stuff look into it or pm boxersix i have sent some of the stuff his way for builds. Let me know how waterfest is unfortunitly the shift meet is sunday and i work on saturday. Tell the AWE guys JVG says hi.

You’ve seen my Hks ssqv. I’d give it to you for cheap. I’d go with the Tial tho.

the sound of a tial 50mm is music to my ears, right along with the sound of the tial wastegate opening up and the GT30R spooling up. you cannot beat those precious sounds! :nod

Sounds are for ricers, :gay LOL!

function over form. i wish the bov/dv was silent.

If you’re looking for a recir style DV, the Syncronic is fantastic. Can be a tight squeeze into most VAG/Porsche stock fitments and even a squeeze into the Evo’s but well worth the trouble. Fastest reacting valve on the market bar none, even against the Tial AlphaQ recirculating(which is also a nice piece BTW). No diaphram and no piston skirt to break/wear out(multi chamber link system) Can hold 100+psi of boost if you dare run it and not leak yet still react like it has a 2psi spring inside. May not flow as much as a Tial Q, but flow isn’t always the only variable in the mix. Building a straight line, huge turbo drag car…get the Tial. Building a reactive, responsive circuit car, use the Syncronic. Probably the best answer I can give.

Everyones has their preferences to products to use, but I’ve used damn near every big name valve out there and none have impressed quite like this one… Helps to know the owner of the company too ;D

Until something better comes along…which always does…www.synapseengineering.com

If you really enjoy the Tial I should be able to get you a better price on the 52mm Turbosmart Race port which is very similar in shape and sound to the tial 50mm.

You should go with the Tial Q. Its a upgrade from the 50. Here are the details from a company.

“New for 2008 is the first revision of the nine year old original TiAL BOV. The Q bolts right up to any standard TiAL flange so you can upgrade without having to re-weld. Through countless hours of R&D we were able to make the same size valve flow a staggering 60% more than the original design - that means 60% more air is blown off per cycle! This is the highest flowing BOV on the market”

if i don’t come back with anything from waterfest i will make my descision. thanks guys.

If you want good marketing buy the synapse, if you want a good product buy the Tial. Tial is made in the USA out of the best quality materials. Synapse is made in China out of sketchy stuff. As im sure you know this has been hashed out again and again on hond-tech. Its funny that synapse slams diaphragm use in bov’s yet they use a diaphragm style waste gate which are way more prone to fail than a bov. You can also run 100psi on the Tial without any leaking. read more.

I have a silver one. I’d sell it for 150. I’m in Saratoga. It was on the WRX swapped wagon when I bought it but it would stall and stumble sometimes due to it being full atmospheric. I replaced it with a recirculating APS BOV and I would like to sell the Tial. It’s the BOV only. No clamp no flange. IDK what spring but I was told it was the softest one with one washer added.

let me know
