That’s hot

is this like a frankenstein kinda deal where people build these things in their backyards, or did VW actually make these things?

Nope VW made them and there are some hot restored ones out there

thats pretty neat

looking for one as stock as possible… and yes i have been looking on vortex for years… i know it was a longshot, but i had to try

<3 those seats…

never seen one of those…cool

I had one a few years ago. It was pretty cool. One of the few FWD trucks out there. Don’t even consider it if you are tall. I’m short, my seat was as far back as it could go. I put some Recaros in it that I scored at Skyway for $75. I paid $676 for it on Ebay, and the owner delivered it to Erie from Morgantown WV for free. It was rusty, had no working gas gauge, always reeked of gas because of the bad filler neck, it leaked water into the cab, had a cracked widshield so it was never inspected the whole year I owned it, it had a Frankenstein repair to the strut tower, and for the last month I owned it I always had to bump start it. Was a piece, but it was cool. I delivered Pizza in it, so some people may remember it from the Hamburg/Eden area. I traded it for 2 van loads of VW parts to a guy in Ontario, and I have no idea where it is now.

If you are not familiar with them, make sure to check for rust in the strut towers, as well as the usual places. Diesels fetch HUGE money on Ebay. I think there is one around for sale, I will let you know if I find it.

Mine:

are you or is that kowalski’s truck?

and yes very familiar with these trucks and all their problems… but having one(in any condtion) is a must for me right now
let me know if you do come across one… thanks

I think there is one in a junkyard in Binghamton. Unfortunately, they won’t sell you the whole thing from they ard, but if you needed parts.

check the new arrivals section

I gotta check that place out. Is the truck still pretty complete? They had one at M&M last year, they pop up from time to time.

And no, I don’t know Kowalski. I know there was another yellow one for sale around here 2 years ago. If you haul a lot of stuff thats not terribly heavy, and log a lot of miles, a diesel Caddy is about as practical as it gets.

more baller caddy pics…mmmm sooo cool
