hey guys im currently in college, and im looking for a solid laptop. for mainly word, internet,excel,etc. i am not looking to spend a whole lot, anyone know of any solid setups, or own one personally

probably will have to buy a used one for that cheap, mine was like 1100, then after all this bullshit it was 1300, and its not exactly great. i think the lowest of my model line or w/e was like 800

Check best buy for one you like. For just word and wireless and internet use, there is quite a bit for 500-600 bucks. They lack in hard drive storage and video cards and stuff but since you are only using it for a college laptop, that would be the best bet.

i have a amd processor on my desktop and my intel centrino on my laptop is significantly faster
Wut? My gaming laptop with a great video card and 17" 1080p screen was only 1299 on sale and its great.
Just walk around for one you like. 15" screen and a basic processors are usually on sale for 499-699.
Personally, never buy a used laptop.

i dont know if my computer is great lol, i dont really use it for anything other than internet and microsoft word, and this is the first computer i’ve owned so i have nothing to really compare it to
Oh ok. I have noticed when I was shopping around that once you break the $1,000 mark they seem to take a pretty big step up from the cheapo ones.
Look through these and compare them. I recommend Acer or HP
dell Vostro. Mile was $649, but I upgraded the Video processor. GF has the same, but hasn’t without the card and it was $549
