what ? what made u think its the maf and not something else. Aswell z32 and rb are different mafs and use different vq maps. rb is same as maxima(cheaper and easier to find).

how do you know whats wrong with my car??? my MAF plug is running 1.5v and i believe its supposed to run under 1 and thanks for the advice but i kinda know this stuff already otherwise i wouldn’t want to buy them…

I myself get .7v with key in . and 1.6 v at idle on ka24e
RB26DETT MAF is way to small for what you want. the skyline GTR uses 2 of those and guys upgrade them when they are passing 400HP(not allways but often). so I would say one is only good for 200-240HP, a RB25 MAF is good to 300HP and the 300ZX, i’m not sure but something like 400HP??
I got a RB25 with a ECU from autodream to talk to it, and i’m happy with it. something to remember, is that if you don’t need a bigger MAF then you will not really see a HP improvement and it will make your idle a little rougher. and you will probably need a new intake pipe, which is a nice upgrade anyway, but something to include in your budget.
ya i have been to autodream and ngyun traced it to the MAF the rb25 handles 400hp and the z32 handles 500 and i don’t think i will be up in that 500hp range marvin wants around 200 for the RB and im not sure for the z32 i was just askin to get one cheaper maybe. sorry for bein a prick i toook your thread wrong i hate when people say dumb shit and then thats what the thread turns into gay shit i have an SR20 so i dunno what the diff. is between the kaE and the SR thanks for the sheit boys
$200 for a RB25 MAF with a plug isn’t too bad, but you could find cheaper. ask jdms13rhd and a couple of the other importers like typhoon ect… they might have one lying around for half that price if your lucky??

RB25 IS N60 identical to about 90-98 maxima MAf n60 as well. Go ebay or call car wreckers and pick 1 up make sure it says n60 in the end.Last i remamber hondatoy ot something had it for 100$ , just ask for maxima maf its the same and cost way less. Or go to the yard and rip 1 out.
I don’t know, but I heard the maxima can’t handle as much air flow as the RB25. is it perhaps the same as the RB20? And there is also a few different colors of stickers on the RB MAF’s that help distinguish them apart, is there perhaps some that are the same as this N60 and some that aren’t? I just remeber reading they aren’t the same, but I am not sure.

with some info.
I dunno about rb20det pretty sure same as rb25det thow, comes in 90 's maxima, rb25det ,z32 na as well as few nissan cars / labeled “n60” maf good till 320-50whp or so and has identical VQ map on all 3 cars , different sticker but same “n60” # and same vq curve so they are identical.
qr45 is “p60” biggest looking and has highest resolution flows as much as z32tt some even belive its capable of more than z32 based on vq map no one cfm tested it yet.
z32tt is “n62” also infinity j30 is “n62” i belive its 480whp based on cfm rating few people tested.
z31 is “n61” as well as 80’s maxima s are “n61” 250whp and pretty wacky looking VQ table. That sucker puts 2v at idle.
“g60” comes in ka24de good till about 220whp
“something something” Comes on ka24e and sr20det look the same but have slightly different 3-5v vq table.
My preference has always been n60 maxima MAF 20$ on the bay flowes more than i would ever need.
On the sidenote u can push any maf well over its limit i’ve seen z32 mafs at 590whp and ka24e mafs at 250whp. They max out their vq curve but ur fuel map can be tuned out to compensate. Like some guys just get a side intake past maf and let in unmeasured air just tune their fuel maps cell values accordingly. I’ve seen some ecu tuners modify vq tables of the maf in 3-5v range . I dunno if that helps or makes any scense but generally Maf measurres density of air and gives out “y” voltage per “x” cfm ." x" cfm will be equalient to “x” whp etc.
thankks for the info man if you guys are 100% i will go and buy one at a wrecker or somthing i just need to know if the wiring is the same for the plug or if i have to get into that as well
you need the plug and will need to re-wire it into your harness. and remember you will also need a tuned ECU or a SAFC to talk to the MAF.
If you can’t get a plug you can rig it up with small spade connectors or something, but a plug is much better!
autodream installed the eprom chip can i get him to program it to the new maf’s specs???

If you go autodream don’t even tell em its a maxima maf , next thing you know they be selling those for 250-300$ ahah just say its rb25. I know they use rom edit type soft to edit their bin files, and basicly it doesn’t have a maxima vq map in it but has rb. So don’t confuse themm and say its rb.
he allready has a daughter board and chip from them he said, he just needs one that will talk with the MAF, so all he needs is a new chip with a different burn.
