WTBorrow: Compressor...any size...

Just looking to do a boost leak test…

The boost leak tester is made with a tire valve adapter…so if you have a compressor with that attachment, i’d much appreciate being able to use it for a day so i can see if i have any boost leaks (or how many).

if u test my car for boost leaks, u can use my compressor

is your car a 300zx? because the tester i have is fitted for the intake of a 300…but we can see if it would work in something else i guess…

no its a civic. got a link to the tester? either way ill let u use my compressor.

andy, i get out of work at 4… u can come to my house and use mine

So you’re going to test for boost leaks by checking the pressure that the system holds… but what if you have a leak? How are you going to find it with your miles of pipe?

You need a smoke machine too man…

EDIT: and make sure you do NOT over-pressure the system if you use a compressor or you’ll be having more problems…

a smoke machine would make life a bit easier but it’s not completely necessary…and it would only really help if i had a garage to work in, working outside the smoke would be blowing all over anyway…

and i only plan on putting about 10 psi in it for the test…the tester i have has a pressure gage on it too…so i’ll know what i’m putting in it.

for the right price i have a smoke tester
