Help with boost leak test on an SRT-4

Does anyone (who wants to help) have the set up to do a boost leak test on an SRT-4??? As some of you know, I’m living here in Pittsburgh while on temporary field assignment for work. So, my house, big tools, compressor, etc… are back home. I’ve been here for 11 months now and haven’t done a check. Can someone help me out? Please? I have beer.

here are the parts you need.

find 2 rubber or silicone couplers that are about 2.5" and get 2 spray paint can lids, the caps fit perfect in these, drill a small hole in the one and put a valve stem from a tire in it. cap off the one end of the pipe with the one cap and put the other cap with the valve in the other end, tighten them down and bust out an air compressor or bike pump and go to like 15 psi. now listen. you can also spray water on the pipes to see if any bubbles apear.

Thanks for the tips. But, yeah, I know how to do the leak test. Thing is, all my stuff (house, tools, compressor, etc…) is back in KC while I’m living here in Pittsburgh in an apartment. I was wondering if anyone had the setup to boost leak check my car.

been meaning to do one, but i never buit the cap for it. Not sure who might have one laying around. Check with Erabbit13 or Conroy(forget the rest of his screen name) on SRT forums/ There on here, but dont really visit that often. There kinda north of the city, but conroy might have a tester.

Idk what size your looking for but I have one for a 3" hole, a compressor and tools you’ll have to hit me up one of these days I’m wrenching.

hey ur in luck i can get 1 from a friend!!! were u live??

Robinson.

if you get it we can test both our cars @ my parents lol, I really need to test mine. Theres a few factory boost leeks I need to get rid of.

I need to do the same for my 91 GSX…

Pittspeed boost leak test/fix meet?

i have one with a 3" coupler on it. works great. used on my gsx. cost me a total of $3.95 i believe for the cap and the valve stem

the SRT inlet is like 2.25 on the stock turbo… I should just build one this weekend and get it over with.
