on my 360 it keeps turning off while i am playing and its pissin me off what is wrong with it. i thought it might be the battery pack and i put a little piece of paper around the batteries so they would not move but that didnt work
the batteries are new
well this is what happened to me when the batteries were dieing
Try another set of batteries.
If that doesn’t work the controller is probably bad.
It’s probably your batteries. Those controllers eat batteries like snacks. If you play for extended periods of time you could go through batteries in less than a week.
so i changed the batteries and it still does it. i also changed games and it does not do it in halo but it does it a very little in forza 2. when i play nhl 08 it does it like every 2 minuets and the players dont even skate around really.
take out the battery pack… look on the back side. you should see a little piece of metal. like a tab. this is the unit that completes the circuit for the batteries. so what you need to do is tape some crap onto it. the metal is like a spring and gets worn out and does not work anymore.
you will see what i am talking about when you look at the controller pack. there is a little notch on the controller itself that is supposed to push that metal tab in (on the battery pack), just add some material to make it better.
it hard to explain but when you look at you should see. to test if its that, wiggle the battery pack a little bit and if its that, the controller should shut off.
take the controller back maybe? don’t know all i know is that the red ring of death sucks got it on my old one and nearly threw the damn thing out the window. but i remembered that it was covered still so in need to.
thats what happened to me last week eb made a big deal about replacing it it and it was under warranty.
So i bought another one and the next day the manager said they would replace it. which pissed me off because now i had to go all the way back and wasted the money on a new one.
It was the controller I went and got a new one and no problems
