Again way to skirt the issue about Maddox needing to step the fuck up since he is getting a paycheck.
The problem with you and talking about sports is since its your sorce of income every time some one attacks it in some way wether it be the BS with the stadiums or shit like this its always some one elses fault or it had to be that way. Its getting to the point everytime somthing of this nature is mention you take it like a personal attack.

wtf are you talking about. i have no conection anyway to the steelers regarding my job or income, i could careless about that shit. people always say i take things personal as a cop out excuse. this is really about me knowing the game of football and its intricasies and you being a typical jackass fan that really knows NOTHING other than what u see on the screen. I am not the God of football but i know more than the rules of the game and understand how it works. When someone screws up an assignment it shows more on a QB than any other position. Tommy isn’t throwing the ball well, The ability is still there thou, the mental side will come around. I would love to see anyone one of us react to 65000 people tellin you that u suck and should die. it can’t be a good feeling regarless of how thick ur skin is. Yes they get paid millions of dollars and i don’t feel too bad but we created that monster by the value we put on sport entertainment. those who tear down their own team to the point that its affecting the play isn’t a true steeler fan.

Cutty, I understand what you are talking about but you refuse to aknowledge the point that Maddox is just as much as at fault.
Its his job, he gets paid, he is a professional. You should bebale to work under all conditions especially being a back up.
Edit - then I laugh because I read some one mentione about the trash and stuff. Mean while when his wife was interviewed she said no such things were taking place, then Tom refused to clear anything up. Yeah thats real professional. YOU DON’T or else you won’t say a comment like that. we established from the begining the his play is bad, i added in that its bad coaching in addition to his play, you don’t wanna hear it. It is his job and he is a professional and in professional sports the error rate is much much larger than any lay person’s job. If he can’t do his job its the COACH’S job to do something about it. when its all said and done the coach has the final word. Thats why they make millions too!
and you know the story is made up because… maybe his wife downplayed it cause she didn’t want worse to happen. Off the field the guy seems to have his shit together, its not like its terrell owens saying the shit happend.
yeah cuttyy we established his playing sucked then your first 3 poists are, “he is wearing B & G fans get behind him”, " I hate fans" and then into how they didn’t give him plays based on his skill level.
No where in those which were on the first 2 or 3 pages did you say anything agreeing that his playing sucks and he needs to take responsibility. You just keep blaming the fans (whom are evidently paid now) and the coaches. If you agree that he is not holding up his end of the “job” then you did a very piss poor job explaining that as well.
As for his wife, who is saying she isn’t telling the truth. Its a two way street. You are a public figure, don’t have / let your wife on there saying the oposite especially if it makes you look like a liar. Then he wouldn;t even try to clarify it afterwards. After she made the comment, it was all tried to be swept under the carpet.
I honestly think Bill Belichick could probably use Tommy Maddox as a starting QB and won the Super Bowl last year. Yes, there is a certain element of talent in there, but this is the NFL, everyone here can play. I think Cowher has made some mistakes in the way that he is handling Maddox, not that I think that Cowher is a bad coach b/c I think he’s a good one, but I still think that a Belichick or a Walsh or a John Fox (lets face it, Jake Delhomme is basically a clone of Tommy Maddox) would be able to tailor a gameplan that would allow Maddox to succeed and win.
But there is defeantely a problem with Maddox as well.
