you’re right, a good gaming machine will always look better. its just tough to justify the 2k to build one.
if i had the funds i would… er… if the wife would let me i would
where have you read this propaganda?
i dont think sony will make a better machine than microsoft. they had 2 years to produce a better machine than the dreamcast… and it was barely better (graphics wise) and was inferior as far as conectivity goes (dreamcast had a modem out of the box and network adaptor option)
i have no faith in sony. they have some key titles, thats it.
Lots of places. I don’t mean as far as connectivity goes. No one can say for sure because no one really knows what PS3 is going to have.
I mean from a hardware aspect. Developers are saying that the Cell processor has a lot of potential. We won’t know until both are out and can be compared head to head.
First off… Tom, your current Live account will transfer over to the new system. Price scales are the same between Xbox and the 360 (thank God, cause I don’t wanna have to get 2 new accounts).
Second, the PS3 better than the 360? I’ll put it this way, Sony will have at least 6 months to incorperate whatever they need too to make the PS3 better than the 360. But considering Sony’s track record, I doubt they’ll do much.
Since the offical annoucment of the 2 systems, MS has done nothing but back up most everything the originally claimed. The only thing they changed was the inclusion of HD-DVD. Seeing as how there won’t be marketable drives until sometime next year. And even then, MS said there would be an upgrade of some sorts available when the time comes.
Sony on the otherhand has done nothing but try to out do and bash the 360. Yet they have very little to stand on right now. They claimed a HDD would come standard with a drive. Not anymore, they’ve already pulled that and said it should be available at launch. The Killzone 2 demo, despite some claiming it was rendered real time, was not. Prerendered at 5 frames per second (IIRC) and then sped up for the display at E3. Hell, even Steve Jobs bashed the chip that Sony designed for the PS3. He ended up choosing Intel to replace the PowerPC chips for Macs.
All in all… I’ll own both, because I’m that big of a nerd (as if you couldn’t tell :wiggle: )
That’s Sony for ya. Ken Kutaragi (the Father of Playstation) has stopped bad-mouthing the Xbox since E3. Just about every bit of press from the man has had something negative to say about Microsoft and the 360. And what did the Xbox crew do in response… nothing. They’ve been focused on actually getting the system working and up to spec.
