you can currently preorder a ps4 or xbox1 from best buy to be picked up on release day. I’m strongly considering doing this just to flip it on ebay for some quick cash
FUCK I was just on the damn bike! too! I really want to flip he xbox!

You can preorder online for store pickup
I pre-ordered mine at GS for a guaranteed day 1 stock. All the launch day sku’s are all gone from amazon, you can still order them just not going to get it on day 1.
REALLY happy I moved to PC…
you have to pay up front right? I dont feel like dropping 550 in one spot on a console if they do payments I’m in.
Well, just pre ordered a Ps4 w/ Killzone through Gamestop. They dont charge till its instock, so thats neat.
I just pre-ordered the box, but not any games. Guy kept pushing me to pre-order a game and I was like, dude no game have any release date yet. The most funny thing is he told me to pre-order The Order 1886, and I was like man, that game won’t even out until the end of 2014 may be…:rofl
First game for me will probably be Watch Dogs…
Need to point this out. There is another shitstorm in process. News at 11.
How can this kind of practice is legal to begin with is beyond me, clearly one of the reasons why MS is pushing all their games to be license based.
This would be equivalent to if you was banned for driving, not only will you be not be able to drive but you also lose possession of all your cars.
Basically the tech support just confirmed the situation with Xbone.
It is true for 360 already and it is even truer for Xbone cause in addition to all your XBLA games, all your so called Xbone “disk base” games is all license based since they are tied to YOUR account as soon as you install it in the Xbone (you DON’T have a choice to not install and you can’t just play the game off this disk, Xbone game disk per Microsoft is nothing more than a delivery vehicle for content. Everything you “buy” will be tied to your account).
It is the norm and understandable if you are banned, you will be deny access to multiplayer online (like Steam), but completely brick your system and deny access on every game you “own” for offline** use and single player? You tell me if that is not anti-consumer.
**Sorry I use the word offline, which is wrong; everyone knows there is no such thing as playing offline for Xbone.
Pushing an all digital ecosystem per Microsoft is “The Future” and “for your convenience”, that is just a front. What going all digital really means is now they have a new level of control, a kill switch to everything you own.
I guess xbox is really trying to sock it to game thieves which was insane on the XBOX360… This same issue killed the dream cast.
Saying that Xbox One is having a PR disaster is the understatement of the century…
Just put money down on a Ps4 at gamestop.
Me too!
Very sad about it, but Microsoft left me no choice.
Yep. I <3 my 360 but at this point in time it’s almost like there isn’t even an alternative for Ps4 for next gen.
Ideally I’ll try to flip the Ps4 on ebay but I’ll likely end up buying one later when things calm down anyway.
What would get you banned? Piracy would be number one. I highly doubt this console, at least in the first year, will be ‘piratable’.
I’ll admit, 90% of my games are copies off torrents. Both my consoles are hacked. However, I do buy the games that I choose to support (ex: Assassins Creed). Problem is, not many games are worth the $60. Like music, if games were affordable, I’d buy them. I buy all my music as it’s only $1/song.
That being said, I don’t plan to pirate games anymore if what me and my brother have read (where you can buy one game and have it shared with up to 10 people you dub as family) is true. We will just split games, and $30 is much more affordable than $60. So, as of now, based on being a ‘proper gamer’…I run no risk of being banned and will likely end up with an XBox One.
