not a blank slate. You are dependent on your parents up till IMO around preschool. then its off to the races. Your mind is a sponge, and you are very impressionable. Your personal trates come from genetics… so maybe you only hang out with blond hair and blue eye’d kids, and become Hitler? Maybe.
If you want the kid to turn out some way you hold their life in your hands 99% of the way. Look at James Stewart. He is one of the few black MX pro riders ever. Came from the ghetto and family had NO MONEY. They saw that he took an interest early on in motocross and ran with it. left their job, sold their house and worked HARD to get to where they are now. Now he is the probably the fastest rider on earth. He may have been able to do so at a faster pace if more things were handed to him and his family no doubt.
Watch the show rookies to racers. EVERYONE on there has MAJOR money and some serious family ties into racing allowing them the chance, IF THEY CHOOSE, to make a career out of racing.
