Back in the day, Kevin was talking up his civic calling it the fastest SOHC in western canada. So he brings it out and lines up against one of the cars from my club (heatscore racing). Our car is a 96 CX, it has a shortram and a apexi N1 on it… its lowered with 16s wrapped in scorchers. The tree drops and Scott knocks them out first round. I am still waiting for them to explain how a near stock civic CX with no wieght reduction at all managed to take down a EF with what was suppose to have $30,000 worth of engine modifcation. They actually attempted to tell me they moved the engine back in the engine bay 2 inches to help with weight balance. A couple years ago I openly challanged them to a race against my EG, which at the time still had a lightly modded D series and was running low 16s… They came up with bullshit excuses and it never happened.
Fast forward to today. Dean and Joel are out at Castrol. Kevin is running a amazing 17 second pass in his FD. Dean is rather annoyed his diesel pickup has not managed to beat Joel’s CRX. Kevin tells Dean that his camer is off by 0.5 degrees and thats why he is having trouble… I guess my eye sight just isn’t as good as his, because personally I can’t tell when a car has .5 of a degree of camber with the naked eye.
I could list off 50 or so other EZ stories but I am at work at the moment.
List more when you get home, I rather enjoyed those two. 
yes, i liked those two stories too, maybe if i get me a civic for the winter, EZ will be the place to hit up, lol.

the only aesthetic things e-z did were get me the cf hood and trunk. they welded me some pipes for a new manifold and wastegate, which they did a great job with.

Anyway, this board isn’t just about bashing people. In fact, its hardly about bashing at all. However, you may find a lot of bashing EZ, just because its so easy to do.
I just really hate to see nice cars ruined by EZ stickers as they are a joke of a shop. You should really take the stickers off.

Personally I would have let them put the parts on for cheap, then gone home. Got a heat gun and taken the decal off the car. What exactly are you considering good pricing, did you shop around ? Saving money is never a bad thing. I bet you if you told Matrix or Autotoys the price kevin was giving you they would match it.
When you obtain a sponsorship, don’t you have to sign a few papers? Or else i’m guessing alot more people would do what you just stated.

I have a friend in saskatoon, he saw a guy there with a EZ decal on his car. He asked the guy about it and he told him that Kevin offered him a sponsorship deal. Where the guy paid kevin $300 so that he could be “Sponsored” and recive better pricing in the future. :roll:

As far as I know, all he actually got was one of the standard EZ decals. Lots of stuff like that happens there actually.
If I wasn’t banned from 780 I would go grab some links from back in the day. There was a guy that paid $500 for a body kit, which was a pretty good deal at the time. You have to remember this was 4 years ago or so. Anyway, 2 months or so go by. Buddy calls EZ to find out where his body kit is. Kevin tells the guy its stuck at customs and that he is going to need another $600 to get it threw. The stupidest part of the story was the guy just went and paid it because kevin told him it was a none refundable deposit. Is it worth it to spend $600 to get something for your $500. I am not really sure… But that guy sure got owned.
I would also like to know who exactly he gave the $600 to at customs to get it threw that was holding it… Anyway there is another story… At some point I am going to actually write all this into the blog I have started about the car community in Edmonton.
